“My name is Saffron McLeod and I’m an emerging photographer and director with a background in costume. Photography and direction as artistic mediums resonate profoundly with me- not only for their encompassing nature but also for their ability to convey my unique perspective of the world.
The film is an intimate, meditative journey, gently guided by nature and breath work that explores innately primal rituals like movement and catharsis to eventually ground oneself and relieve anxiety. These practices act as forms of medication, interwoven with elements of nature, most importantly our many mothers, the trees. Trees are our friends, they're anchored and stoic and we can learn a lot from them. By adopting their spiritual and physical ethos, if we take a deep breathe and plant ourselves firm, we too will find equilibrium. It is fundamental to embrace introspection as well as looking outwards and fully understanding our interconnectedness thus perceiving ourselves as belonging to something bigger."
